Furnaces work hardest in January when the valley sits in the teens, and air conditioners quit in July when Provo hits 100. Most of what we see is a repair. We tell you when replacing is the cheaper answer.

Who qualifies, and the fine print
The big heat pump rebates are for homes converting off electric resistance heat. Rocky Mountain Power does not pay those on a home coming off a gas furnace, which is most of Utah County. If your house has a gas furnace now, dual fuel is the one that pays.
Rocky Mountain Power rebates need a Rocky Mountain Power electric account. Provo, Lehi, Springville, Spanish Fork, Payson, and Salem run their own city power, so those homes do not qualify for the Rocky Mountain Power lines above. The Enbridge Gas furnace rebate is not affected. We check which utility serves your address before we quote.
Both utilities revise these every year and can change them on short notice, and every job has to qualify on its own. We check the live numbers with both utilities before you sign anything.

Can you come out the same day if we have no heat?
Call us and we will get you on today’s schedule if we can. If the day is already full, you get the first slot the next morning. We answer the phone 7am to 8pm, seven days a week, and we run later in winter for no-heat calls.
Do you charge for a diagnostic?
There is a diagnostic fee on repair calls, and we tell you exactly what it is when you book, before anyone drives out. You will never find out the price at the door. Estimates on a replacement system are free.
Is a heat pump actually worth it in a Utah winter?
On its own, not usually. Dual fuel is the setup that works here: a heat pump handles the mild two thirds of the year, and your gas furnace takes over on the cold nights when a heat pump loses efficiency. It is also the combination that earns the largest utility rebate in Utah County.
How long should a furnace last?
Most gas furnaces in Utah County run 15 to 20 years. Past about 15, a big repair stops making financial sense, and we will tell you when that is the case instead of selling you the repair. Heat exchangers and inducer motors are the two failures that usually end a system.
Which utility rebates can I actually get?
It depends on who supplies your power. Rocky Mountain Power rebates need a Rocky Mountain Power account, so homes in Provo, Lehi, Springville, Spanish Fork, Payson and Salem do not qualify because those cities run their own municipal power. The Enbridge Gas furnace rebate is not affected. We check which utility serves your address before we quote.
How often should the system be serviced?
Furnace in the fall, air conditioner in the spring. Two visits a year keeps the warranty intact on most equipment and catches the cheap failures before they become the expensive ones. You get a written condition report either way, not a verbal once-over on the way out.
Do you work on my brand of equipment?
Yes. We service and install all the major residential brands, including Carrier, Trane, Lennox, Goodman, Rheem, Bryant and Amana, and our technicians hold EPA 608 certification for refrigerant handling.
